Delayed Engine Start
NOCH NICHT EINGETRAGEN. WEITER AUF SEITE 103 in TWA (gegen die Tabelle im Folgenden ersetzen)
01 - START LEVERS | IDLE DETENT |
02 - ENGINE ANTI-ICE | ___ |
ON or OFF as appropriate. If engine anti-ice is on, check that all valves are open. Leave position selector in an active position.
03 - ELECTRICAL POWER | CHECKED |
Check all relay lights are out. Check KW meters for equal load division. Check DC meters selector in the battery position and observe charging action. After all generators are operating, check essential power to generator No. 1 and No. 2 to confirm speed switch and essential relay operation. Return essential selector to No. 3 position.
04 - GALLEY POWER | ON |
05 - BOOST PUMPS | ON |
Check low pressure lights out.
06 - HYD BRAKE INTERCONNECT | CLOSED |
07 - HYDRAULIC PRESSURE | CHECKED |
Check for normal system and brake pressure.
08 - FUEL HEAT | OFF |
09 - AIR CONDITIONING PANEL | CHECKED & SET |
Place the number 2 bleed switches to CLOSE and observe a decrease in manifold pressure. Place pack switches to OPEN one at a time and check electrical power meters for each fan starting load. Place pressure indicator selector to PACK and note normal pressures. Return the engine bleed valves to the takeoff configuration in sufficient time to allow the APU to run for approximately two minutes with no air load before shutdown.
10 - AUTO PACK TRIP | ___ |
The auto pack trip control switch must be in NORMAL for takeoff when the actual aircraft weight is within 2,900 pounds of the maximum takeoff weight. As the thrust of all engines is increased above approximately 1.50 EPR, check the green ARMED light on. |
