## DATALINK

Datalink is used to fetch SimBrief (or MSFS) flight-plan and performance data into the FMS.

### Access

* **NAV** → **DATALINK** — DATALINK INDEX
* **RTE** → **DLK FPL** / **SEND**
* **DLK** function key — MAIN MENU, then into the datalink index
* **PERF INIT** → **SEND REQST** for performance

### DATALINK INDEX

| LSK | Label       | Function                                        |
| --- | ----------- | ----------------------------------------------- |
| 1L | FLT PLAN | Datalink flight plan (SEND REQST, APPLY ACTIVE) |
| 3L  | TAKEOFF     | Datalink takeoff preview (ACCEPT / REJECT)      |
| 3R  | PERFORMANCE | Datalink performance preview                    |
| 4L  | ADDRESS     | Company / ground addresses                      |
| 6L  | CMF MENU    | Datalink MAIN MENU                              |
| 6R  | SIMBRIEF    | Username page                                   |

{% hint style="info" %}
**WINDS REQ**, **WINDS REV**, and **REPORT** are not implemented. ATS / ACARS request pages on the DLK MAIN MENU are display-only.
{% endhint %}

### ADDRESS

**ADDRESS CONFIG** stores company and ground addresses per request type (FLIGHT PLAN, WINDS, POS REPORTS, TAKEOFF, PERFORMANCE). The default ground address is **SMBRIEF**.

Enter your SimBrief **username** or **userid** as **COMPANY ADDRESS** on **FLIGHTPLAN**. It is saved in the work folder.

### Flight plan request

1. Set the address as above.
2. On **RTE**, enter origin / dest / flight ID to match the OFP, then **SEND**.
3. Wait for **(SENT)** / the datalink list.
4. **APPLY ACTIVE** (or ACCEPT on the datalink FPL page) loads the route into a MOD plan.

SID and STAR are **not** imported. Select them on DEPARTURE / ARRIVAL. See SimBrief Import and RTE.

If the company address is empty or **MSFS**, SEND uses the MSFS / world-map flight plan instead.

### Performance and takeoff

**SEND REQST** on PERF INIT or the datalink PERFORMANCE / TAKEOFF pages previews OFP weights, fuel, and takeoff fields. **ACCEPT** or **REJECT**.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Imported performance comes from the SimBrief OFP. Load the aircraft to match, or the FMS predictions will not match the sim.
{% endhint %}
