HOLDING PATTERN — fix, speed, inbound course / turn direction, leg time or distance, EFC, then INSERT/APPLY. Activate the MOD plan.

See Holdings.

POS INIT — last / reference / GPS load and UPDATE.

POS SENSORS — FMS position versus IRS 1/2, GPS 1/2, VOR/DME. Drill into GPS STATUS and IRS STATUS.

DATA LOAD

Load CUSTOM DB, NAV DB, or both from the aircraft navdata files. Confirm, then watch the progress page.

Updating Navigraph cycles is done from the EFB (or the desktop updater). See Navdata Updater.

Maintenance / setup

FMS MAINTENANCESETUPFLT CONFIG (bank factor, FPL auto page, origin/destination display, SBAS, TEMP COMP CONFIG).

FMS Mode pages include Failed Sensors and Return To Service (display/navigation only — no sensor-fail or RTS checklist simulation). HDG Mode toggles magnetic / true heading and saves the config.

Temperature compensation modes (OFF / COLD / HOT&COLD) and applying compensated altitudes: FMS Temp Compensation.
