# Head-Up Display

HGS is available on the **E190 / E195** (including **E190F / E195F**). It is hidden on the E170 / E175.

Pilot and copilot combiners are **independent**. You can fly with none, one side, or **both**.

## Selection (EFB)

Operator settings are stored **per livery**.

1. EFB → gear → **Operator** → **HGS**: **None** / **Pilot** / **Copilot** / **Both**.

## Deployment and brightness

1. Click to deploy / stow that side’s combiner.
2. Rotate to change brightness.

## MCDU HGS page

**MENU** → **HGS** (E190/E195 only) returns to MENU with LSK 6L. Runway length / elevation fields are shown; combiner mode and HUD A3 are **not** implemented.

## Tail Strike Avoidance

On E190/E195, **Enable Tail Strike Avoidance System** on EFB **Aircraft** settings limits nose-up elevator close to the ground. Default is **off**. Details: [EFB Settings](/e-jet-series/special-features/electronic-flight-bag/settings.md#tail-strike-avoidance-tsa).
