Section 5 - Weight & Balance

Loading

The aircraft weight can be set via the default MSFS Weight & Balance menu or via the EFB integrated in the Tecnam.

Click & drag the sliders to set the weight.

C.G. Calculation

C.G. position can be defined by means of the chart below. The pilot is responsible for ensuring the correct useful load loading.

Example:

  • A/C empty mass moment: 378 kgm

  • A/C empty mass: 790kg

  • Occ. front seats: 160kg

  • Occ. rear seats: 140kg

  • Fuel: 72kg

  • Baggage: 18kg

  • A/C T.O. weight: 1180kg

Fuel Calculation

For all flights, a fuel calculation must be performed based on the times calculated in the flight log.

In a standard flight the aircraft should be fully fueled on both tanks as long as the passenger/cargo load allows.

This results in a fuel supply of:

  • 52.8 Gal = 200 ltr.

  • Substract 10 ltr. for take-off and taxi = 180 ltr.

Based on this a safe flight time of approx. 4.5 hours is calculated, if one uses a consumption of of 40 liters/hour.

With an assumed consumption of 40 ltr./h, surcharges for possible climb flights are already included.

  • Usable Fuel: 194 ltr.

  • Startup + Taxi ~10 ltr.

  • Holding (FINRES): ~30 ltr.
