Quick Start Guide
The following guide will show you the shortest and easiest path to a great flying experience in our B727 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Even though the aircraft is technically quite complex the following steps will get you in command easily.

PREFLIGHT
Load a flight at any airport on the apron. The aircraft will spawn in Cold & Dark state unless other option has been selected in clipboard.
Open the clipboard on Preflight page and set & load weights.
Click on the phone on the captains left side and execute the Preflight Check procedure and wait until it illuminates green.
On the phone enable all monitoring features.
Set your cruise and landing altitude in the pressurization panel (-> FE Panel)
Execute the Before Start procedure (-> Phone) and wait until it illuminates green.

STARTUP
Commence pushback and start the engines:
Engine no. 3 start switch to GROUND (-> Overhead Panel).
When N2 reaches 20% move start lever no. 3 to IDLE (-> Pedestal).
When N2 reaches 40% switch engine no. 3 start switch to OFF (-> Overhead Panel).
Repeat 1.-3. for engine no. 1 & 2.
Execute the After Start procedure (-> Phone) and wait until it illuminates green.

TAXI
Set your takeoff flaps and trim given by the clipboard.
Advance all throttles to approximately 40% and start taxiing.
Execute the Taxi procedure (-> Phone) and wait until it illuminates green.

BEFORE TAKEOFF
At holding point set all lights (taxi off, landing on, strobes on).
Execute the Before Takeoff procedure (-> Phone) and wait until it illuminates green.

AFTER TAKEOFF
At 1.000 feet above field elevation (AFE) accellerate to 160-180kts and set flaps to 5.
At 3.000 feet AFE reduce power to ~90% N1, accellerate to 250 kts, when passing 190 kts set flaps to 2, when passing 200 kts set flaps to 0

CRUISE & DESCENT
Cruise mach speed as desired or 290 kts indicated.
Plan your descent using the clipboard FLIGHT page.
Enter your target altitude (i.e. altitude at IAF)
Click on "START NOW" to let the autopilot follow the calculated descent path

APPROACH
When passing through transition level, execute the Approach procedure (-> phone).
Set your MDA/MDH on barometric/radio altimeter.
Set ILS frequency (if applicable) in NAV1 & NAV2 and set corresponding course on HSI.
Lower flaps according to the following schedule:

BEFORE LANDING
When aircraft is in landing configuration, execute the Landing procedure (-> phone).
Approach with Vapp and at approx. 30ft above ground retard throttle levers to idle and flare for landing.
AFTER LANDING
When vacated, retract flaps and spoilers.
Execute the After Landing procedure (-> phone).

PARKING
Enable GPU in the clipboard.
Place external power switch (FE panel) to ON & select essential power selector and AC power selector to EXT PWR.
Shut down APU.
Execute the Shutdown procedure (-> Phone).
