# FLIGHT PATH / ATTITUDE INDICATIONS

### FLIGHT PATH VECTOR (FPV) <a href="#flight-path-vector-fpv" id="flight-path-vector-fpv"></a>

* Consists of a green aircraft symbol that indicates the current flight path angle in reference to the horizon line.
* <mark style="color:red;">FPV turns red when TCAS RA is active and the FPV is in the Avoidance Zone.</mark>
* <mark style="color:red;">FPV is removed when excessive pitch is exceeded.</mark>

### FLIGHT PATH VECTOR SPEED ERROR TAPE <a href="#toc118376554" id="toc118376554"></a>

* Green tape that rises or descends from the left wing of the FPA symbol.
* Represents the difference between the selected airspeed and the current airspeed.
* Down indicates current airspeed is less than the selected airspeed, and up indicates more.

### FLIGHT PATH VECTOR ACCELERATION POINTER <a href="#toc118376555" id="toc118376555"></a>

* Displayed when FD is selected and gives an analog indication of acceleration and deceleration rate along the flight path.
* Moves up for increasing values of flight path acceleration and moves down for decreasing values of flight path acceleration.

### ATTITUDE REFERENCE AIRCRAFT SYMBOL <a href="#toc118376556" id="toc118376556"></a>

* Aircraft symbol is centered and always points to the top of the display. The background rotates around it.
* Displayed at all times and is used with the pitch tape to reflect aircraft pitch and roll attitude in relation to the horizon line.

### HORIZON LINE <a href="#toc118376557" id="toc118376557"></a>

* Based on the current aircraft pitch and roll attitude.
* When the horizon line and the attitude reference aircraft symbol are overlaid, the aircraft is in a level pitch attitude.

### FLIGHT DIRECTOR GUIDANCE CUE <a href="#toc118376558" id="toc118376558"></a>

* Displayed as a magenta diamond with short wings.
* Fits within the flight path vector symbol.
* If pitch or roll command data is invalid, the flight director guidance cue is removed.

Flight Director automatically displays:

* TOGA button actuation
* Autopilot is activated
* <mark style="color:red;">Windshear detection</mark>

### PITCH LIMIT INDICATOR (PLI) <a href="#toc118376559" id="toc118376559"></a>

* <mark style="color:red;">Pitch-based indication between stick shaker angle of attack and airplanes angle of attack.</mark>
* <mark style="color:red;">PLI is displayed as Green, Amber, or Red.</mark>
* <mark style="color:red;">Red PLI – stick shaker is activated.</mark>

### ROLL SCALE <a href="#toc118376561" id="toc118376561"></a>

* Tick marks are located every 10 degrees up to 30 degrees.
* Inverted triangles are displayed at 0 and 45 degrees of roll.

### ROLL POINTER AND SLIP/SKID INDICATION <a href="#toc118376562" id="toc118376562"></a>

* The triangle is the roll pointer.
* Bottom half of the roll pointer is used as a slip/skid indicator.
  * Lower portion of the triangle moves left or right to show the slip or skid condition

### LOW BANK LIMIT ARC <a href="#toc118376563" id="toc118376563"></a>

* <mark style="color:red;">Helps the pilot to fly with low bank angles during turns.</mark>
