GSX Automation

Last updated 5 months ago

In order to improve the E-Jets experience, we have implemented some GSX specific features that will ease your pre-flight phase and the arrival procedure at your destination.

That means the E-Jets are now able, in conjunction with GSX, to automate the boarding and pushback process as well as the good engine start confirmation. Once your flight is finished GSX will automatically start with the deboarding of your plane.

EFB Options

Please make sure that the GSX related options in the EFB are switched on, like here in the screenshot. To access the options menu please select the wheel in the top right corner.

Enable GSX Support: If disabled GSX won't trigger any doors or services automatically. Recommended to keep it enabled.

Automatic Departure: GSX departure/pushback sequence will be triggered automatically when the following conditions are met.

  • Engines off

  • Parking brake set

  • GPU off/APU on

  • All doors closed

  • Beacon light on

Automatic Good Engine Start: Once GSX departure/pushback sequence is finished, it will automatically report a good engine start when the following conditions are met.

  • Engines on

  • Parking brake set

Automatic Deboarding: GSX deboarding sequence will be triggered automatically when the following conditions are met.

  • Engines off

  • Parking brake set

  • Beacon light off

Loading Procedure

Please only load up the aircraft through the EFB. Any loading via default MSFS W&B or GSX menu will mess up the C.G. and cause flight dynamics issues.

After your Simbrief flight plan is imported you will find a new payload loading method called GSX. If you would like to start the GSX animation and automation please select load via GSX. After selecting this method the aircraft weight and fuel will be automatically updated and GSX will start with the boarding process. Unfortunately due to the custom weight and balance system of the E-Jets, dynamic loading of passenger and fuel is not possible.

Step 1: Set up your flightplan or import it from SimBrief.

Step 2: Navigate to the departure page and set/check your aircraft weights.

Step 3: Press the GSX loading button at the bottom to start loading with automatic GSX animation.
