# Cockpit Side

### OXYGEN MASK

#### FLOW INDICATOR

* A bright yellow star when visible indicates that oxygen is flowing.

***

#### TEST/RESET BUTTON (SPRING LOADED)

* Pressing this button with the mask stowed tests the oxygen mask and activates the microphone. The flow indicator star momentarily blinks and oxygen flow will be audible through audio system.
* Pressing this button with the mask not stowed and the mask box door closed shuts off the oxygen flow, turns off mask’s microphone and returns the communication from the cockpit speakers to the headsets.

***

#### OXY ON FLAG

* This flag appears whenever oxygen is supplied to the mask.

### STEERING HANDWHEEL

Nosewheel steering is a custom physics model (hydraulic torque, scrub, speed fade). Authority depends on the EFB setting **Nosewheel Steering via Tiller Axis** ([EFB Settings](/e-jet-series/special-features/electronic-flight-bag/settings.md)).

#### STEERING HANDLE

* Rotating the handwheel commands tiller steering when **Nosewheel Steering via Tiller Axis** is **on**. Bind a tiller / tiller axis to the aircraft steering handle.
* Push-down to engage / release for pedal-only mode is not simulated as a discrete lock. The tiller-in-use indication follows tiller axis movement.

#### NOSEWHEEL STEERING

NWS is active with **nose weight-on-wheels** and hydraulic pressure on **system 1** (backup **system 3**).

| EFB **Nosewheel Steering via Tiller Axis** | Behaviour |
| ------------------------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Off** (default) | Rudder pedals steer through a reduced “taxi tiller” path (\~35° E170/E175, \~32° E190/E195), with stronger centering near idle stick. |
| **On** | Pedals command about **±7°**. The tiller has full authority (\~**75°** E170/E175, \~**64°** E190/E195) at 0 kt and fades to zero by about **60 kt**. |

Rate also reduces with groundspeed. Pedal input is compensated so MSFS rudder coupling does not double-steer.

{% hint style="info" %}
Map a dedicated tiller axis if you enable realistic tiller. Otherwise leave the option **off** and taxi with pedals.
{% endhint %}

### STEERING DISCONNECT SWITCH ON GROUND SERVICE PANEL

* STEER OFF EICAS will be present during the after start checklist (CA pushed down tiller) if the steering disconnect switch on the ground service panel is not in the down and guarded position.
